INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background to the Study
The correlation between a parent’s financial stability and independence and their other filial and emotional duties to their family has been a major issue especially for the human resources management department of different firms. This is as the two duties pose a very difficult situation as they both deeply demand the time commitment of the employee which he or she can hardly give adequately to each. To add to the bargain, the promotion process of employees takes majorly into account the commitment and result made by employees with little or no considerable to the marital status and its tolls and demands on the employee.
For this reason, the questions has gained sociological implications as it is grappled with frequently by feminist for the sole reason that those mostly affected by this are female employees. The demand is so significant so much so that most female employees begin to leave work the moment they are married and begin building a family. Often it is not so with male employees and in the event that it is it can arguably be said to be minor in relation to their female counterparts.
It makes convincing argument under the feminist movement seeing that the situation makes employer to make little or no time and training investment on the female employees while some employer outright terminate the employee of married female employees or make a policy of not hiring them in the first place.
1.2 Statement of the Problem
The background presented in the background to the study section of this research point to the fact that Work-home dichotomy as it relates employee performance is one that bears upon the decision making process in regards to both the marital arrangement and careers of employees especially in the private sector. However, if the research effort that has gone into this present study is anything to go by, this visible passé between work and home duties always affect the work the more and especially when it involves the female employees. This is the problem which has inspired this research: to study the impact of work home conflict on employee decision to leave with the female employees in the service industry of Jos state Nigeria as a case study
1.3 Research Questions
1.3.1 what does this conflict directly impact upon the career of female employees in the Jos state service industry
1.3.2 In what ways does it affect their home duties as wives and mothers.
1.3.3 What measures have been put in place and implemented by government to achieve a home work balance for these female employees.
1.4 Objectives of the Study
Given the significance of this research work the study effort aims thoroughly at:
· Identifying the different ways that the work-Home conflict has affected the female employees decision to leave away from the service industry of Jos state.
· The study will also aim at comparing which is mostly affected between the home factors and the work factors which will invariably show how the decision making process which often results in resignation is attained.
· The research will attempt to describe the economic and sociological implications of the situation.
· And with the readings and analysis put into the study, some recommendations would be made in regards to creating a favourable working condition for the female employees in the service industry which will offer them job security and balance with their domestic duties.
1.5 Significance of the Study
The present research is of great significance to both employers and the government. For the employer who hitherto have not designed a way of making their married female employees to be highly productive and at the same time not disrupting their domestic duties will gain significantly from the recommendations made in this research work which aims at looking at the impacts of the home work conflict on the female employees.
The government can better make policies that will protect the job of the female employees in both private and public establishments and give it security from the impacts of this conflict so that it doesn’t always result in the female employees resigning which means having to choose one these two vital roles.
1.6 Research Hypothesis

The major focus of this research work is on how the research object pertains to female employees of the Jos service industry. The study will pay its attention to the private service industries as they are the ones with the high rate of females leaving work as a result of the pressure seething from the above almost binary conflict of opposition.
